What materials do you use to make your jewelry?

All my items are made with the materials stated in the listing (i.e., 14k Gold/Sterling Silver Filled wire, Gold plated, Silver plated, Brass, Gold beads, Crystals, etc.).

All my work may be photographed and use as examples. If you do not want for me to use your piece(s) to be photographed, please let me know.

How do I measure my wrist?

You may use a piece of yarn, paper strip or measuring tape. Follow directions above. Do not measure past the knuckles, you don't want your bangle or bracelet to fall off.

***Use this also to measure your finger for sizing. Using a piece of yarn, paper strip or measuring tape.

What is Gold Filled?

Gold Filled is made from solid "gold" and "filled" with other alloys. Gold Filled wears like solid gold because it's outer surface is solid gold. Electroplating is NOT a part of this process.

What are some of the advantages of Gold Filled jewelry?

Gold Filled has been referred to as the "Gold of the Future" because it offers all the same physical characteristics as solid gold such as beauty, durability, and strength, but at a fraction of the cost. Since the gold in on the outer surface area, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between solid gold and Gold Filled, except when it comes to the cost!.

If Gold Filled Jewelry Custom Jewelry?

The answer is NO! The layer of gold in Gold Filled is substantially thicker that the traditional electroplated jewelry. Gold Filled jewelry is fine jewelry that never goes out of style and can be worn beautifully with all tastes and preferences in fashion.

How do I care for my jewelry?

Gold filled jewelry is cared for in the same manner as other precious jewelry. The absolutely best thing you can do for your Gold Filled jewelry is to clean regularly using a little bit of warm water, and a soft cloth to dry and shine after. Many chemicals marketed for cleaning jewelry are actually somewhat abrasive or corrosive and can cause some damage or color alteration to your jewelry.

The best way to avoid this is to keep it simple. Warm water and a soft cloth are the best thing you can do to maintain the beauty of your jewelry.

How long will my Gold/Sterling filled jewelry last?

Under normal wearing conditions, and with proper care, you gold filled jewelry can last a lifetime. "I have many pieces of Gold Filled jewelry that I've made 15yrs ago and they still look like brand new".

Heavy wear and rough conditions will of course impact how your jewelry looks. This is true no matter what your jewelry is made of.

Things to avoid while wearing any kind of my jewelry pieces:

To maintain the beauty of your jewelry, whether it is Gold/Silver filled, Brass, Copper, Gold plated, etc... You should avoid wearing them in salt water, chlorine (swimming pool) and using heavy detergents and cleaning agents.
